PrestaShop bulk add products, straight from your PC

Creating dozens of products one by one in the PrestaShop back office takes days. ListoMax prepares them on your PC and publishes them straight to your store, images and combinations included.

The problem

Three ways to bulk upload products to PrestaShop

01 · BACK OFFICE

Manual entry

Product by product in the PrestaShop catalogue. Reliable, but very slow beyond a handful of products, especially with combinations, images and several languages.

02 · FILE

File import

A spreadsheet to prepare in the right format, columns to map, and images to host somewhere. Handy for large volumes, but tricky to fix when a row fails.

03 · LISTOMAX

Publishing through the Webservice

You enter or import your products in ListoMax, then the software creates them directly in your store through PrestaShop's official API, with a status for every product.

ListoMax is Windows software. It is not installed in your store: no module to add, no change to your theme. It talks to PrestaShop through the Webservice, the API built for external software, and works with PrestaShop 1.7, 8.x and 9.x.

The content

What ListoMax creates in your PrestaShop store

The complete product

Name, short and long descriptions in eight languages, price excluding tax, scheduled sale price, stock, low-stock alert, weight, dimensions, EAN-13, delivery time, tags and Q&A.

Images

Uploaded to the store in full resolution (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, up to 8 MB). The first one becomes the cover image, and the order is preserved.

Categories and their parents

Loaded from the store, never typed in blind. A product placed in a subcategory is also linked to its parents, and the default category stays the one you chose.

Combinations

Enter the attributes (colour, size, shoe size…) and ListoMax generates every combination, each with its own reference, price impact, stock and EAN code. They are created as combinations of the product.

VAT, read from your store

Tax rates are fetched from your PrestaShop configuration. If the requested rate does not exist, publishing is refused with a clear message: a product is never silently sent out without tax.

SEO and features

Meta title and meta description per language, friendly URL generated from the name, technical features created if they don't exist yet and reused if they do.

Checked after every upload. ListoMax reads the product back from the store and compares what was requested with what was received: categories, default category, VAT rate, combinations, images, visibility. If something fails, the product, the store and the reason are shown, and one button retries the upload.

Connect your PrestaShop store to ListoMax

Open the Webservice

In the PrestaShop admin, go to Advanced Parameters > Webservice. Enable the webservice and save.

Create a key

Click Add new webservice key, enter “ListoMax” as the description and generate the key. Grant at least read and write access to products, categories, images, languages, stock_availables, taxes, tax_rules, specific_prices, product_features and tags.

Paste it into ListoMax

On the CMS Connections page, choose PrestaShop, enter your store URL without a trailing slash and paste the key. The test button checks the connection instantly.

The detailed, screen-by-screen guide is in the help section: connecting PrestaShop.

Large volumes

Import products to PrestaShop from a CSV or Excel file

A supplier file becomes a published catalogue, row by row.

Clear preview

The separator is detected automatically. Recognised columns are highlighted in green, the others are ignored without blocking anything. The first six rows are displayed so you can check before you start.

Multiple images

Several image URLs in the same cell, separated by a vertical bar. A CSV template and an Excel template are provided, pre-filled with an example.

Row-by-row tracking

A live counter, an option to keep going despite errors, and every failure listed with its row number and reason so you can fix the file.

Selling products in several colours or sizes? The Series feature creates one listing per colour or size from a single form. Also running a WordPress store? The same listing goes to WooCommerce at the same time.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

Is ListoMax a PrestaShop module?

No. It is Windows software installed on your PC. It connects to your store through PrestaShop's official Webservice: nothing is installed on your server.

Which PrestaShop versions are supported?

PrestaShop 1.7, 8.x and 9.x. Every publishing feature is tested on real PrestaShop 8 and 9 stores before it is released.

Are images really uploaded to the store?

Yes, in full resolution, through the store's API. They are not links to your hard drive. The original files also stay on your computer so you can republish.

What happens if a product fails?

The message is shown with the product, the store and the reason, never silently. One button retries that product, another retries all failed products.

Can I edit a product that is already published?

Yes. The listing is updated and sent again without being recreated or duplicated. If the stored ID is no longer valid, the product is found by its reference.
